Agustín
Yáñez Figueroa During 1994 he worked as Legal Manager of the Corporation “Servicios Corporativos Corey”. From 1995 to 1996 he worked as Manager of Trust Contracting in “Banco del Centro, S.A.” From 1998 through 1999 he worked as Private Secretary of a Supreme Court Justice, adhered to the Administrative and Labor Department of the Mexican Supreme Court. He worked as a freelance attorney from 2001 until 2004 in the areas of Corporate, Administrative and Tax law. He studied a Masters of Law in Common Law Studies (LLM) at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., between 1996 and 1997, specializing in the areas of International Business Transactions, International Treaties, Environmental Law and Social Development. He also studied at the “Instituto de la Judicatura Federal” a course designed to train attorneys on how to become Tribunal Secretaries with the title “Curso de Capacitación para Secretarios de Tribunales Colegiados y Unitarios” in México City. He has been tenure professor of International Law, Foreign Investments’ Legal Regime, and Diplomatic and Consular Law at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in Guadalajara since 2002. He is also the first professor to teach legal courses in English at this school of law. He has given lectures on the North American Free Trade Agreement on several forums. He is fluent in business and legal English. Speaks Portuguese. |
